Something new...

Hi all,

I thought I would post a little sneak peak at the brand new Dies by Chloe, here are some cards which I have made using the new poinsettia die, based on our 3 petal stamps...

The first one was made using a Sweet Poppy Stencil for the centre panel, I used the gold stencil dimensions for this. I matted this onto some gold card, and layered this onto a hint of gold Snow White card embossed with the seasonal music embossalicious folder, the poinsettias were cut from gold mirror card and layered up with the black rhinestone cluster in the centre.

The second card was made using hint of silver centura pearl card, which was embossed with the embossalicious let it snow folder, I also stamped the lattice background with flitter glu then covered with gilding flakes, the poinsettias were cut from red and green pearl paper layered up and a gold rhinestone cluster added to the centre, I then added a red/green grosgrain stripe ribbon bow.

Also nearly forgot I've just had my next create and craft date confirmed at 21st September at 11am and 4pm hope you can join me!

Emerald Sandal Card

Hi All,

I'm back with another sandal card today. This one uses our new emerald card and boxes, this card was super quick and easy to make, for the background I used some scraps of DCWV papers which I had left over from a previous project. The Sandal was stamped and embossed in WOW Pink Fizz on a piece of white card, then cut out and glitter using Silver Halo Glitter and crystalline glitter.

I matted this onto a emerald mat and stamped and embossed the Behind Every Fabulous woman stamp again in pink fizz and added a ribbon down the side of the card to finish.

Summer Sandal

Hi All,

Another summery post today, this time using the new strappy sandal.

For this one again I have use some more DCWV papers - I think these are from the floral fair stack. I chose some orange and pink papers, and stamped and embossed the flower and butterfly swirl in pink fizz onto the background. I then stamped and embossed the sandal in metallic brass sparkle onto complementary paper and glittered using crystalline glitter for the heel and gold halo glitter for the straps. I then used some delish sheer reversible ribbon to tie a bow for the corner, then finished with a sentiment.

Summer Daisies

Hi All,

Here is one of my samples from my Create and Craft show yesterday, it was a lovely show and I really enjoyed it! I'm onto making Christmas samples now for my next show on the 21st, and I love Christmas so am really pleased to be able to get my beautiful k&co Christmas papers out again!!

Onto today's card this one was really quick and easy to make. It all started with some beautiful DCWV papers from the butterfly garden stack, I chose 2 papers matt and layered them up and then added some daisies. These have been stamped and embossed onto vellum, using my new WOW Powders in Pink Fizz and Pink Sherbert. I cut them out added a rhinestone cluster to the centre of each daisy and then stuck them on. To finish I added a sentiment again embossed in pink fizz and a double pink silky crush bow which I tied with my bowdabra and added a pearl and diamanté embellishment to the centre of the bow.

Teal and Kraft Butterfly Wreath

Hi All,

I'm taking a break from tidying my craft room so thought I would do a blog post!

Today's card uses the Butterfly Wreath stamp and I think this one has to be one of my favourite cards - I just so love the colours!! I started with an 8 inch scalloped Kraft card blank, I added a rhinestone to each scallop, the backing paper is from my minds eye, and is one of my absolute favourites, the glittered swirls on it are just fab! The butterfly wreath has been stamped and embossed into Centura Pearl card using WOW metallic brass, I then added a little glitter and a few more jewels to the butterflies and layered it up onto the card. To finish I added a silky crush bow and pearl and diamanté bling stone.

Best get back to tidying!!lol

Fuchsias

Hi All,

I'm back!!! Sorry for the lack of blogging of late but I have been busy working on the samples for my next create and craft show on 1st June, and I can't show you them quite yet!!! We have had a super busy start to May as we have been back out at shows, the first being Happy Stampers North West last weekend and then we are off to the Ross Papercraft Show at Nissan tomorrow.

So onto todays card/project! This did start out as a card, all of the matting and layering was done using Bazzill Bling! Cardstock in a variety of pinks and purples, I love this cardstock it is just so sparkly and I love the canvas texture. The centre piece was cut using a go Kreate frilly frame die which I cut from white card and then inked using tumbled glass distress ink, I then glittered the edge of the shape using crystal glitter. The fuchsias were created by stamping them out various times onto coloured card stock and embossing them in silver I then cut them out and decoupaged it was crying out for a little extra sparkle so I glittered all of the flowers using pink and purple glitters. To finish I added a few jewels, a couple of butterflies and a sentiment.

So as I said earlier this started off as a card, but whilst browsing round Ikea I spotted these fab box frames, so I framed the card and it is now hung in the unit.... Hence the glare in the photo!lol

Something a little more summery...

Hi All,

So for today's card I have decided to post something a little more summery and in my favourite colour.... Pink! The background for this are was First created using a piece of Hunkydory Adorable Scorable card, I stamped the butterfly trails stamp down the right side of the card using flitterglu and covered them in glitter for a super sparkly effect!! The tree was created by first stamping the Bare Tree stamp in Walnut distress ink and dragging out the colour using a water brush I added the butterflies to the top using the same technique with the flitterglu. I tinted the edges with a little pan pastel and mounted it on to the card.

Something a little different,

Hi All,

Here are some more of the samples from the Wedding Show in March, these ones are a little different to what I usually do as they are not a card!!! But gift boxes instead.

I created these using our fabulous handbag gift boxes as soon as I saw these I knew that I just needed them! They are truly fab and a really nice size too. I covered the bag in some Hunkydory foiled card stock. And then had the fun of embellishing them, I added a silky crush bow to each bag in a colour which matched the foiled card, and a diamanté and pearl embellishment. On the silver one I added the flower heart wreath and in the gold one I made some flowers using our large and small flower stamps which I stamped and embossed on some pretty pearl vellum which I found in my stash.

Wedding Show Sample 1

Hi All,

As promised here is one of my samples from the Wedding Show which I did back in March, however I will be doing this show again on 28th April at 3pm but with some slightly different designs this time.

For this one I wanted to show how well the lattice stamp works with the flower stamps which we already have in the range. To create the base I matted a piece of white pearl paper to the base of my card, then an embossed layer of white, then a plain layer of white. The Lattice has been stamped and embossed in WOW silver super fine and then glittered using a quickie glue pen, I also added a few pearls to the crosses of the lattice. The flower have been stamped and embossed in my favourite sparkling snow onto the same pearl paper as the base matt - and I'm very pleased to say that we will have some of this in stock very soon at Chloes Creative Cards!! I then finished the flowers off with a rhinestone cluster in the centre of each one. The card still looked a little plain and needed more embellishment in my opinion so I added a few beaded sprays behind and a silky crush bow in the corner.

I'm back....

Hi All,

I can't believe that this is my first April blog post, where has time gone! To make up for it I've decided to post two cards today. The first was made using the Flutterby Wreath stamp, I stamped and embossed it onto cream card in WOW Brass Embossing powder I then added a little glitter and painted the dragonflies on the wreath with some twinkling h2o's. to create the butterflies I stamped and embossed the wreath again onto pink paper and cut the butterflies out and layered it up, adding a few jewels too!! The background was created using my minds eye papers, I love love love theses papers so so much the glitter accents on them are just fab and we will soon have them available online when our new website launches later this month.

The second card was made again using my minds eye papers, I love the in this one, the cream part which I have layered the butterflies on has been em bossed using the elegance embossalicious folder, I then lightly dabbed around the edge with some radiant rain paint to add a little shimmer! The butterflies have been stamped and embossed in WOW metallic brass sparkle and then decoupaged onto the corners of the sentiment which has been cut using a spellbinder die.

Also I will be back on Create and Craft on 28th April at 3pm on the wedding show so I will be posting some of the samples on here soon...

Wedding cake

Hi all,

Today I thought I would show you a card which I have made using the loopy background, wedding cake and mr and mrs wedding day stamps. Again I'm back to white on white cards which I love! Especially for weddings I really think that they give an elegant feel to a card especially combined with silver.

To start for this card I stamped and embossed the loopy background in wow neutral ultra shimmer onto white card, this create a beautiful backing paper as it just adds clear sparkles which I love! This also works well over patterned papers. I then used the spellbinders floral ovals to cut an aperture out to put the greeting in. For the cake I stamped and embossed it it silver super fine onto white card and a little glitter added to the lilies, this has then been mounted not the card. I finished with a white silky crush bow and a diamanté embellishment.

Red sparkly shoes...

Hi All,

Today's card features the Large Shoe stamp (which is back in stock!!!) for this card I wanted to created something super sparkly and in brighter colours and here is the result. The shoes have been stamped embossed and then decoupaged. The top layer was covered in double sided adhesive sheets and then cut out and glittered using red glitter. To finish I added a feather and jewels to each shoe and for the heal I used silver halo glitter.

I thought the matting and layering for this card should be quite simple so that the ficus was on the shoes, so I just stuck with red, white and black. I then added a couple of rhinestone swirls and a have a fabulous day sentiment.

Something a little different today...

Hi All,

For today's post I thought I would show you something a little different... Some jewellery which I have made. I saw Kleshna on create and craft showing Kumihimo, and decided I wanted to give it a go, these are my first two pieces, the smaller one was just braided and the chunkier one was braided with beads and the a Swarovski heart added as a charm, I'm now totally addicted to this as it is so quick and easy to do.

Hope you like them,

Yellow Butterfly Wreath

Hi all,

Today's post features the Flutterby Wreath Stamp, I wanted to do something a little different for this one so I decided to use my spellbinders grand decorative circles as a base and for my matting and layering. The Flutterby wreath has been stamped and embossed in WOW silver bells. I then re stamped it onto some matching yellow paper and cut the butterflies out to decoupage over the top.

Sticking with the Butterfly Theme...

Hi all,

For today's card I had been experimenting a little. I have had quite a few emails recently asking if you can use the WOW bonding powder with guilding flakes... Well the answer is yes you can! If you stamp with versamark and then emboss as usual with the bonding powder until it has melted (it goes clear), then whilst the powder is still a little warm dunk it in your guilding flakes and press the flakes onto the image then polish off as usual, a little tip though... If y have to reheat the powder make sure the lid is on your pot of flakes!! And yes I have now learnt this from experience!lol to mount the card I stamped the butterfly trails stap in the background using London Fog momento ink pad and used flitterglu and flakes to edge the card, to finish I add a few jewels to the centres of the butterfly's and a sentiment to the bottom.

Gilded Butterfiles...

Hi All,

I've been having a bit of a play today with some stuff that I bought at the Harrogate show, I treated myself to the indigo Blu flitterglu starter set, because I needed to restock on my flitterglu!!! Here is a card which I have made today using black card, flitterglu and mega flakes. I wanted to use then Beautiful Butterfly Background as the main feature of this card, so I stamped it in flitterglu and the used mega flakes over the top, for the second matt I edge the card in flitterglu and dunked it in the flakes, the background was made in the same way but this time using the butterfly trails stamp, I then added the monarch butterfly stamp again gilded and triple embossed with clear embossing powder, to finish I added a make a wish sentiment and a black silky crush bow.

Also below I've added the finished pictures of our stand at Harrogate.

Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza

Hi All,

We are just on our way home having set up for the show this Saturday and Sunday at Harrogate so I thought I would share a few pictures with you, apologies about the light but it was starting to get dark as we came out.

I also thought I would share a card which I made for the lily stamp launch on create and craft a couple of weeks ago, this card was a bit of a happy accident as I had left all of my heat embossing stuff at the unit, so I only had ink pads so for a change this one has just been stamped in black momento and coloured using my spectrum noir pens, I chose a blend of pinks (so predictable!!). To finish I added a little glitter with a quickie glue pen.

Hi Crafters,

A little bit later than usual this mornings post - but better late than never!! I hope you've all had a lovely crafty weekend - I have playing (I mean working!!) with some lovely new stamp designs which will be launching on 25th February on my next Create and Craft Show.

Anyway onto todays card,

I have stamped both the Poppy and Poppy Border stamp in Momento black ink and coloured using various shades of Spectrum Noir pens to colour. The background was done using a Splodgeaway Mask and some Sparkle Medium - the photo really doesn't do it justice it is so much more sparkly in real life!!

To finish I added a little bit of dark grey glitter to the centres of the poppies.

Spellbinders and Sunflowers

Hi Crafters,

Todays card is a pretty clean and simple one! I have used just white and gold card stock to make this card.

I started with a pearlised gold card base, I then matted a square of white cardstock on - the top and bottom edges have been pierced using a Tim Holtz ruler. I then cut a Spellbinders Botanical Expandability die from white card and matted this onto another piece of gold.

The Sunflowers have been stamped and embossed in WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle onto the gold cardstock, I have glittered them using various shades of yellow and orange glitters. I then stamped and embossed the sunflowers again and just cut the centres out I glittered these in brown and black glitter.

To finish I've added a sentiment and some rhinestone swirls.

Todays card is super blingy!! This one features my shoe stamp, I stamped embossed and decoupaged it onto white card, I then added some super bling to it.... Silver Halo Glitter. I added a huge jewel in the centre and some feathers to finish.

The background was created using my Floral Scroll Stamp, which I stamped and embossed in WOW Metallic Silver Superfine, I then used a quickie glue pen to add glitter to all of the little leaves. The card has been matt and layered in silver mirri card and white card. I've also added a white silky crush bow and rhinestone cluster to finish.

Kraft Poppy Border

Hi Crafters,

Todays post features the Stamps by Chloe Poppy Border Stamp, I stamp this onto Kraft card in Versafine ink, I then used coloursoft pencils and Sansor to colour.

I then stamped and embossed the Floral Scroll stamp round the edge of the card and embossed using one of the WOW special edition embossing powders from the Desert Sands Set. I matted this onto red card and then onto a Kraft card blank. The bow was made from Grosgrain Stripe ribbon and a Tim Holtz button to finish. The sentiment has been stamped and embossed in WOW Black Glint.

Embossed Cherryblossom

Hi Crafters,

Todays card is all in Pink and White! I started with a piece of Fresh Pink Centura Pearl card (my fave colour!) I stamped and embossed the cherry blossom cluster stamp all the way round the edge, I embossed it in Sparkling Snow. I then added a little jewel to the centre of the blossoms.

The Cherry Blossoms have also been stamped and embossed in Sparkling Snow onto white card I then tinted the edges using a little bit of Spun Sugar Distress Ink. To the stamens I added some jewels and another but of bling to the centre. The sentiment was cut out using a Spellbinders Die and the sentiment was embossed in WOW Silver Bells. The swirl die in the background is a Cheery Lynn I think.

Hi Crafters,

Todays card has been made using my Large Shoe Stamp, I really like how you can dress this shoe up with lots of glitter and sparkle or be a little bit more suble like this card below. The papers which I have used on this card are from Canvas Corp and were the inspiration behind the black and cream theme to the card. I have stamped and embossed the shoe in WOW Black Glint embossing powder on to black card, cream card and patterned paper then decoupaged it up. I did add a little bit of bling to the centre as it wouldn't have been complete without!!!

The flowers have been stamped and embossed onto the patterned paper too with a black rhinestone cluster added to the centre. I then added some extra pearls and a sentiment to finish.

To finsh I added a Sheer Organza Spot bow, a square rhinestone cluster and some pale green sparkle pins. On a Misson...

Hi All,

Happy New Year!

I'm on a mission to blog more often so I am hoping to post every other day!

Todays card is one I made for a C&C show last year (wow that sounds like such a long time ago!) in October I think.

It features the medium and small 8 petal flower along with the With Warmest Wishes sentiment. The die used for the sentiment plaque is from Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, I think the swirls in the backgound are Cheery Lynn dies too and papers are from Papermania Elegance collection.
