Quick Card

Hi All,

A nice quick and easy christmas card today in a crisp colour combo of white, silver and sparkle!

To make this one I stamped a square of white card with my Holly Scroll stamp and embossed it using WOW Silver Superfine, little jewels have then been added to all of the berries, and a large silky crush bow and rhinestone cluster - I really wanted this card to look like wrapped present so I added a tag too! The edges have been highlighted using Halo Glitter ( I told you I love it!)

Traditional Christmas Door

Hi All,

Back to a more traditional christmas card today! This one has been made using my Christmas Door stamp.

The door has been stamped and embossed in WOW metallic gold sparkle embossing powder and then some glitter added using a quickie glue pen. I also added some Barn Door distress ink around the edges of the door to add some shading. The papers are K&Co I then added a sentiment to finish along with a few rhinestone clusters and a bow!

Tree and Reindeer Stepper Card

Hi All,

Todays card has been made using a stepper card which I bought from Which Craft? at StampMagic earlier in the year. These bases are really great for making quick cards. For this one I used some My Minds Eye papers in the lovely teal colours again!

The tree has been stamped and embossed in WOW Silver Bells embossing powder, as has the Reindeer and sentiment. I then added some Halo glitter around the edge of the sentiment which has been cut using a Spellbinder, some pee wee glitter to the trees, jewels to the reindeers antlers and shaved ice just below him.

To finish I've added a silky crush bow and a few rhinestone clusters.

Pink for Christmas!

Hi All,

Here is another Christmas card today using the Starry Tree stamp.

This one is something completley different for me as I have never done a pink christmas card! The paper in the background is papermania from my stash. The tree has been stamped in Flitter Glu and then sprinked in Halo Glitter for a change from embossing, I then added some jewels to the tree and stamped and glittered the message in the same way. The snowflake are the Memory Box Bianca Snowflake die which I have cut on double sided sticky sheets and covered in Halo Glitter. I then added some rhinestone clusters to finish.

Hope you like it,
Chloe

Gold and Cream Star

Hi All,

Just a quick post today. This card was a real quick and easy one to make. The Twiggy Star has been stamped and embossed in WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle onto cream pearlescent card, I then added lots of dots of glue and added some Gold Halo glitter, I love love love this glitter it is so super sparkly and gived such a different look. The star has then been matted and layered onto some gold mirri card.

The flourish has also been stamped embossed and glittered in the same way. I then added  the Special Wish sentiment, a bow and some gold matting and layering.

Traditional Christmas

Hi All,

I'm back with a more traditional card today, this is another one I made whilst away demoing at the Manchester show.

This one again uses K&Co papers I am so in love with these this year!
The main feature of this card is the Poinsettia in the centre which has been made using my Large 3 Petal stamp. I have really matted and layered this one up!

Behind the flowers I have tucked some double ended berries dipped in micro beads, some glittering vines and bits from a green bead pick. The centre of the poinsettia has been glittered in gold glass glitter.

Icy Christmas

Hi All,

A completely different look today! For lots of Christmas cards this year I have been using some divine K&Co papers this one is such a lovely teal shade it just has to be the main part of the card! Whilst at Create and Craft for my last show, it was the Spellbinders pick of the day - I couldn't resist!! So this is one of the first cards I made using the dies I cut a Spellbinders die from the centre as an aperture and covered the background in micro beads for an icy look.

The borders on the edge of the card have been cut using the border die for the Venetian Accents set with a jewel added too! The centre piece was created using Decorative Labels 1, inked and layered with Lace Motifs, Venetian Motif and an inked circle with my let it snow sentiment in the centre.

The Reindeer was stamped and embossed in WOW silver super fine and covered in hairy glitter to give him an authentic look! I then added jewels to his antlers and nose.

To finish I added a silky crush bow and oval rhinestone cluster.

Hope you like it,

Back to blogging!

Hi All,

My word it has been such a long time since I last blogged! We have been so busy away at lots of shows, designing more stamps and updating the website!

Now for todays card - this one I made using some beautiful Graphic 45 papers (I really do need one of these to use and one to stroke!!), I inked all of the edges of this one in Tea Dye distress ink and then added some glitter around the edges with a quickie glue pen.

The oval has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals die with a lattice placed behind and labels 27 for the  message, the edges have again been inked and glittered. The leaves are a Cheery Lynn die which I am hoping to have in stock soon.

The flowers on this card have been made using the Medium 8 Petal flower. Whilst demoing at the Manchester show I was playing with this stamp and decided to try it in red and add some glitter. I am really pleased with how these turned out. They have been stamped 3 times pinched and layered up with a jewel in the centre.

I'm Back! - and exciting news!

Hi All,

It has been sooo long since I blogged! I t has just been so busy recently with lots of new items coming in and being away at the shows, I haven't had time to make a card! But I did have a weekend off last week so I got lots of samples made ready for Create and Craft on 22nd August.

Here is one of the samples which I have made:

I have used gold mirri card, pearlescent navy card and a piece of gold paper from the Papermania Elegance paper book. The gold and cream papers have been stamped and embossed with my Holly Scroll stamps and WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder.

I cut a piece of gold mirri using the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square dies and layered to the centre, the Reindeer has been stamped and embossed in WOW Rich Gold Embossing Powder and then glittered using Halo Glitter (which will be in at the end of this week!), then I just had to add a red gem to his nose (and a few gems to his antlers)!

The bow has been tied into a triple bow using the Bowdabra mini (which are also due in later this week!) with the Navy Silky Crush Ribbon and a new jewel added to the centre (coming soon :)). I then added the Most Wonderful Time of the Year Stamp to the bottom corner on an angle.  When I finished this card it just looked to be lacking something so I added a couple of the A/B Blue Rhinestone Clusters which have just arrived this week and they are yummy!

Now for the exciting news - I am really looking forward to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza this year as I will be teaching breakfast workshops on both Saturday and Sunday morning!! We will be stamping and embossing onto vellum using the latest stamps in the range! Tickets can be booked through Craftwork Cards here - http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk

Peek 2

Hi All,

I'm back again with another little peek at the new collection, this time with the Fancy Snowflake, Snowflake Clusters and Most Wonderful Time. These will be available on my website from Sunday 24th June... so not long to wait!

This was quite a quick and easy card to make, I stamped and embossed the snowflake randomly onto a piece of vellum and embossed them using my favourite Sparkling Snow WOW powder (more is due back in stock this week!), once headed I added a little more glitter to the open spaces of the snowflake with a quickie glue pen and a few little gems in the centres.

I then added some Teal Silky Crush Ribbon with a bow and another one of those large Rhinestone Clusters, this time with an aurora borealis finish. The sentiment was stamped and embossed using WOW Silver Bells and a little bit of pan pastel added around the edges.

I am busy making lots of new samples for my Create and Craft show on Friday at 11am, I have really enjoyed working with the Poinsettias, Fir Wreath and Fir Branch again - I've even attempted scrapbooking! All of which I'll post later.

A little peek at something new...

Hi All,

Sorry for my lack of blogging of late, but I now hopefully have a card to show you everyday this week!

Today's card features the new stamps in the Stamps by Chloe range which will be launching at Rainton Meadows next Sunday. I am super excited and have really enjoyed making the cards with these stamps!

This card features the Starry Tree stamp in the centre embossed with WOW metallic silver sparkle powder, the snowflake cluster in the the background embossed in metallic silver superfine and the special wish message also embossed in metallic silver super fine. I have glittered the tree too in parts and added a little bit of bling!

To finish off I added some white silky crush ribbon and a rhinestone swirl. I have also added one of my brand new embellishments - large oval rhinestone clusters - which seem to be getting stuck on everything at the minute!lol I will get these added to my website later this week, they are available in lots of different shapes for just £1 per pack (4 in a pack for the ovals).

I have been so busy away at shows over the past few weeks so haven't had any time to make any new cards, I am busy typing this while packing for Sheffield on Sunday! But I look to have some time off over the next couple of weeks so I might be able to squeeze some crafting in and get some new stamps designed! I have though, updated the Stamp Gallery over on my website - here's the link http://www.chloescreativecards.co.uk/page_2474664.html so all of the sample cards from my Create and Craft show in April are on there now.

White on White

Hi All,

Todays card I have to show you, uses the Tulip stamp and Vine Leaves Texture Sheet.

I have stamped and embossed the Tulip in Wow Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder, then cut it out several times to achieve a decoupage effect, along with plenty of crystal glitter.I also had a play with some of the new Spellbinders dies which made it into my craft room!! Floral Ovals and Labels 25. The border was done using a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch.

Finally I added a few jewels, ribbon and stamped and embossed sentiment.

On the theme of black and cream...

Hi All,
The card which I have to show you today uses some of the fab new Spellbinders dies and M Bossabilities! So I decided on cream, black and gold for this one.

I firstly used a piece of cream and black patterned paper from my stash I bought at Harrogate (I think it is either BoBunny or Pebbles I can't remember which!lol) I have then embossed a piece of cream pearlescent card using one of the new Spellbinders M Bossabilities folders, 2 folders in one - such a cool idea! Using the left overs from the A4 sheet I then stamped and embossed the Small 3 Petal Stamp in Wow Metallic Brass Sparkle, to create 2 flowers I then repeated this with the large 3 petal too. The sentiment plaque was done with the new Spellbinders Floral Ovals die and the Celebrate it's your Birthday was stamped and embossed again using the Wow Metallic Brass Sparkle. On the corner I have added my small butterfly stamp which has been stamped, embossed and glittered onto patterned paper. As a finish touch (as we all know a card is never complete without a bit of bling!!) I added one of the Creative Expressions Black Pearl flourishes.

All Materials are available from www.chloescreativecards.co.uk

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend and eating plenty of chocolate!!

Another Card

Hi All,

I have another card to show you today - I must be on a roll!! I have had more of a play with the texture sheets and this is the result, I have used the texture sheet on the left side of the card -  the photo doesn't do the embossing justice.

I also got to play with the new Spellbinders and Memory Box dies ! The Memory Box die used on this card is Twirling Vine Frame and the Spellbinders die is labels 25 with the Warmest Wishes sentiment.

The flowers were the left overs from another card which I had made a while ago and have been embossed using Wow Black Twinkle Embossing Glitter, then for an extra bit of bling crystal glitter added. The black swirls are Creative Expressions.

All materials used are available from www.chloescreativecards.co.uk.

Bye for now,
Have a lovely Easter Weekend.

Eventually a card!

Hi All,
Todays cards is a little different to my usual style. The new Craftwork Cards Sweetpea collection arrived last week and I LOVE the colours they are so pretty, and that is what inspired me to make this card. I have used the Peas in a Pod papers on this card.

On this card I even used distress inks... very unusual for me! I distressed the edges of the paper using Walnut Stain and Antique Linen distress ink, and the same on the lovely new Spellbinders dies, on this card I have used Splendid Circles and Persian Motifs. The butterflies have been stamped and embossed using Wow Metallic Brass Sparkle which is a little more subtle than gold, I think inked the edges of the butterfly and added glitter!

In the background I have added some small butterflies cut out using the Memory Box Butterfly Delights die, and glitter added again. The swirls have been created using the Stamps by Chloe Bling Swirl Stamp, embossed in Brass Sparkle and The Hobby House gems added.

Friday Product Focus

Hi All,
A new idea today, I thought it might be nice to have a product of the week featured on my blog every Friday, so here we go with the first one.

Today product focus is Stamps by Chloe A5 Texture Sheets.

What is a texture sheet?
A texture sheet is a thin polymer which can be used with most roller die cutting machines to provide beautiful embossed designs like below,
The Stamps by Chloe A5 Texture Sheets come in an A5 size and currently come in 3 designs,  Vine Leaves, Floral Lattice and Flower Power.

How do I use the texture sheets in my machine?
I have both a Cuttlebug and Grand Calibur, and these are the plate combination I use

Grand Calibur
Base Plate
Texture Sheet - texture side up.
Card
Tan Mat
Pink Embossing Plate (the one included when you buy the machine)

Cuttlebug
A Base Plate
B Plate
Texture Sheet - texture side up
Card
Tan Mat
B Plate

Top Tip: - (this is useful for embossing folders too) Lightly spritz your card or paper with water to soften the fibres before you emboss, this way you can get an even deeper emboss.

Here are a few cards which I have made using the Texture Sheets,

Texture sheet embossed onto Centura Pearl card, I have used the WOW Bonding Powder and Fab Foils on the flower to give it a fab foiled glitter effect. I have also added a 12mm brad to the centre to hold the flower together and rhinestone flourishes to the side. The sentiment has been stamped and embossed using Silver Bells Wow Powder.

Quick and easy this time, I think that this one would make a nice wedding invitation, simply embossed onto Centura Pearl card and lots of little 3mm gems added, a buckle and a bow.

You'll have to tilt to look at this one! Embossed onto white card glittered butterflies and bling added.

A Host of Golden Daffodils

Hi All,
The weather has been glorious here in the North East and inspired me to make this card yesterday.

This card uses the lush new Bo Bunny papers and embellishments which arrived earlier this week and the Stamps by Chloe Daffodil stamp. The colours in these collections are so summery and fresh, I have used papers out of 2 of the new paper books on this card Ambrosia and Country Garden, the best thing about these papers are you get three of each design so you can keep one to stroke!!lol I am so excited to have Bo Bunny now available on my online store as I love their products and the quality is just fab.

On the ribbon on this card I have also used one of the Bo Bunny Trinkets from the Country Garden collection.

And I now have another card for you too, this card uses the Daffodil stamp again and the Stamps by Chloe Floral Lattice A5 Texture Sheet, I made this card as a sample for Harrogate then never got round to posting it on my blog! The Daffodil has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens, I really like this white on white look as I think it is very clean and fresh.

All materials used are available from www.chloescreativecards.co.uk
I am off to prep my classes now ready for Friday and Monday.

Preview 3...

Hi All,

I am back with another preview from the Stamps by Chloe collection! Today's card uses the same stamp as yesterday - the washing line but give a completely different look to this versatile stamp.

This time I used the football kit stamp set to create a more masculine card, and in our house it could only be one colour - black and white!! I have stamped the football kit and coloured it. I then created stripes in the backgound by cutting strips of paper, the black strips have been stamped with the football and embossed in clear to add a little bit of texture to the card. I have also added some of my new crystals to the corner - these are coming very soon.

Today I have a card made with the BRAND NEW Stamps by Chloe stamps. Today I have chosen a card using the Flower Wreath and Flower Border.

Here the Heart and Border have been stamped and embossed on white using WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder, and a little bit of glitter added - technically it wouldn't be a card with out a bit of glitter right?! In the backgound I also embossed the card using my Floral Lattice Embossing Sheet.

Here is a close up of the heart, it has been decoupaged with the flowers being stamped and embossed on vellum using WOW Bright White Superfine powder.

I have also added some small flower bling stones.

Hope you like it.

Eventually a card!!

Hi All and welcome to my new followers,

I would firstly like to say a big THANK YOU for the emails and phonecalls after my Create and Craft show on Friday, I am so pleased that you enjoyed the show.

Today I have 2 cards to show you, the first one was Deans favourite from Friday's Create and Craft show, this card features the Stamps by Chloe Tulip, Swirly Vine and Happy Birthday stamp.

The backing paper is from www.shabbyprincess.com, I have cut an aperture out of a square of cream card using the Spellbinders Grand Label 1 die and then stamped the swirly vine stamp and embossed it using the WOW Pearl Gold Sparkle powder (one of my new favourites!) paper pleated the background with lots of valley and mountain folds - very similar to the technique used to make paper rosettes.

Here is the close up shot of the Tulip, which has been decoupaged,

And now for a variation on a theme - same layout and technique for a completely different look,
For this card I have used the Stamps by Chloe Large Flower, Small Flower and Have a Wonderful Day stamps.

Stamped and embossed in WOW Pearl Gold Sparkle, and a few gold glittering vines added.
