Fabulous Dress

Hi All,

My poor little blog has been abandoned yet again! Just when it was all going so well, I have a spare few minutes so I thought I would type up a quick post. Last month on Create and Craft I launched the new Fabulous Dress stamps and Glam Handbags. I was so excited to work with these ones as they are right up my street! Perfect for adding bling and sparkle - what more can a girl want?

So that card which I'm going to share with you today, is using the Fabulous Dress and 8 petal stamps. The dress was created by stamping and embossing the dress onto blush card with my Wow Coral Reef embossing glitter, and also into a piece of patterned paper from a paper pad, I then glittered it and layered it up, adding extra butterflies to the skirt of the dress, the butterflies also have a little ice cream sundae glitter added to the centre of them.

The flowers were stamped and embossed onto blush card in Wow Pink Perfection embossing glitter, I then glittered the flower with my Sparkelicious glitter in Fandango and Bubblegum. I the a se,bled the card as shown.

Stencils and Double Sided Adhesive Sheets Tutorial

Hi Crafters,

At yesterdays show I was asked a lot how this look was achieved using the Memory Box stencils...
so I thought it would be best to do a quick tutorial post about it.

These are the materials you will need:
Stencil (I'm using Memory Box Ornate)
Double Sided Adhesive Sheets
Tumble Dryer Sheet
2 different glitters (I'm using silver halo glitter and crystal glitter)

Rub one side of the stencil with a tumble dryer sheet, this helps the stencil to peel of the sticky.

Peel the back off one side of the self adhesive sheet.

Place the self adhesive sheet down onto a piece of card

Peel the backing off so the sticky is exposed (don't through the backing sheet away as you will need it for the next step)

Place your stencil over the sticky sheet with the side that you have rubbed with the tumble dryer sheet in contact with the sticky, to flatten the stencil down, use the double sided sheet backing paper and rub over the stencil.

Once your stencil is flat to the sheet, cover in your first colour of glitter.

Now carefully lift the stencil off and cover with your second colour of glitter

And your glittery stencil is complete!

Here are a couple of card ideas using the glittery stencil technique:

This one uses the following stencil and dies:
Memroy Box Rhapsody Stencil
Memory Box Paper Cut Tulips Circle Die
Memory Box Paper Cut Tulips
Memory Box Precious Butterflies (with the bows chopped off!)

The next one uses the following stencil and dies:
Memory Box Diamond Stencil
Memory Box Perky Poppy Die
Memory Box Happy Birthday Extravaganza Die
Memory Box Lunette Butterfly Die

Another Memory Box Card

Hi Crafters,

We have just got home for the Ross Papercraft Show at Nissan today and it super busy so a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stall, I hope you enjoy using your new goodies! So for todays card I though I would show you another card using some Memory Box dies...

So for this one I used:
Happy Birthday Extravaganza (currently out of stock but more are one their way!)
Tulip Stems
Precious Butterflies
Stencil - Flourish
Stencil - Rings and Puddles

To start I placed the Flourish stencil onto a piece of centura pearl card, and covered with the Sweet Poppy Stencil Dimensions Paste - Transluscent, lifted the stencil off and covered in different shades of glitter.

I then die cut the Precious Butterflies die and the Tulip Stems die, I also ran them through and embossed them with my embossing mat, I then inked through the die uses a Lulu Lavender Memento ink pad and a piect of cut n dry foam, the stems of the tulips were inked using a peeled paint distress ink.

I then started to assemble the card but it look a bit too plain on a white background, so I took the rings and puddles and inked through it again with the lulu lavender ink, and cut triangles placing one in the top left corner and the other in the bottom right. To finish I matted and layered the stenciled piece up with some purple centura pearl card and assemble the card as shown above, the sentiment is the Happy Birthday Extravaganza die cut from purple centura pearl card.

Memory Box 2014 Release

Hi Crafters,

For today's post I though I would share a card which I have made usning the new Memort Box 2014 die and stencil release and I have to say think some of these designs have to be some of my favourite ever!

So here is the first one I made using the butterfly heart die and lunette butterfly die, this one was super quick and easy I simply cut the butterfly heart twice from a piece of whet card, I the put a piece of pink Mirri card underneath and added the lunette butterfly to the corner, I die cut 3 and layered them up to give it more dimension. Added a little glitter and gems and my card was complete!

I'll be back tomorrow (technically later today!) with a few more that I've made using the new dies!

We'll also be at the Ross Papercraft Show at Nissan, Sunderland today 10am - 3pm so if your coming be sure to pop by our stand and say hi.

Simply White on White with a hint of Silver!

Hi Crafters,

This is just a quick post as some samples of my new stamps have arrived and I can't wait to go and have a play!

This one is just a simple white on white card. The background has been stamped and embossed in silver using the Petal Pattern Background Stamp and the Trellis Pattern Background Stamp, I then glittered it using a quickie glue pen and some crystal glitter.

The blossom in the centre was created using the Large Blossom and Small Blossom Stamps, again simply stamped and embossed onto white vellum with silver embossing powder, I then cut the flowers out and layered them up adding a jewel to the centre for added bling.

To assemble the card I wrapped a piece of white silky crush ribbon around the card, placed my blossom in the middle, and then stamped and embossed the Grassy Swirl stamp onto acetate in my Diamond White WOW powder, cut it out and tucked behind the blossom. To finish I added a few jewels and a mini message from my Mini Messages stamp sheet.

Black and Cream Blossoms

Hi Crafters,

Todays card which I'm going to share with you is a one which I made for the launch of our new blossom and geometric background stamps, back in November.

Stamps by Chloe Large Blossom
Stamps by Chloe Small Blossom
Stamps by Chloe Swirly Grass
Stamps by Chloe Petal Pattern Background
Stamps by Chloe WOW Rainbow Black Embossing Glitter
WOW Clear Gloss Superfine Embossing Powder
Black Versafine Ink Pad
Cream card, black card, heat resistant acetate, pearl gold card blank.

First cut a piece of cream card down to fit on the front of your card, take the petal pattern background stamp and stamp it across the bottom of the card with a black versfine ink pad, then emboss in clear, I emboss so I don't smudge the black ink with my fingers!

Using lots of little black self adhesive jewels add one to the centre of each of the crosses on the stamp.

To create the blossom stamp and emboss the large blossom 3 times and the small blossom twice onto cream card, emboss using WOW Rainbow Black embossing glitter. TIP: To get a really black image with black embossing powder, stamp the image in a black pigment ink pad (such as Versafine) instead of using a clear ink pad.

Cut all of the blossoms out can crease them down the centre to create a valley fold, layer together twisiting each layer to build the flower up, I then added a rhinestone cluster to the centre to finish.

Take a piece of heart resistant acetate and cover with anti static bag, stamp the Swirly Grass stamp twice with a versamark ink pad and then emboss using WOW Rainbow Black, cut the swirls out.

To build the card up, place the two swirls in the top right corner of the card and then place the blossom over the top, to finish add a sentiment (I've used DEC012 Happiest Birthday) and 3 jewels in the top left corner of the card.

I then matted and layered the cream onto a piece of black and then onto my gold card.

Scrunched Flowers Tutorial

Hi Crafters,

I hope you have all had a lovely crafty weekend! I certainly have as I've got 7 cards made for my next show on Create and Craft on 27th January, I've really enjoyed going back to some older sets that were on back in April last year, and coming up with some new ideas!

As I promised in my last post here is a tutorial for the scrunched up flowers, sorry about the shadows on the photos but I had to work with my ottlite on as it was so dark in Durham yesterday!

1. Stamp and emboss 3 large blossom images and 2 small blossom images, you can just stamp and not emboss but you need to use a waterproof ink pad such as Versafine, cut out and place in a plastic container (optional but I find it best to contain some of the water!).

2. Spray both sides with lots of water until the flowers start to curl up

3. Once the flowers are really saturated with water, start scrunching them up I tend to hold the centre of the flower and then scrunch the petals up as you need to be careful that the centre does snap.

4. Once all of the flowers are scrunched up tightly start to carefully unravel them.

5. Now gently waft the flowers with a heat gun making sure you keep the heat gun moving so you don't over heat the embossing powder, this helps to dry the flowers and set the creases in them.

6. Assemble flowers as shown below, adding a jewel to finish.
Materials used: Stamps by Chloe Large Blossom, Stamps by Chloe Small Blossom, Stamps by Chloe WOW Shrinking Violet Embossing Powder, Pearl Paper ( Mine was from Ross Paper)

And here's a card which I've made with some red scrunched flowers, I'm slightly addicted to this technique now! Lol

Bye for now!
